Our member-base will appreciate all the member to member communications we will be able to implement within WordPress. However, one very important benefit is the ability for members to update their own profile and review their membership history and then since they have WordPress profiles, we can take advantage of member-based plugins and member-only content and have Membee ultimately control their access.
The benefit to the membership administrator is tremendous. Before Membee, we had the capability of receiving our payments online, but we had to manually transfer any data/updates into our internal database on Filemaker Pro, send out renewal reminders manually. It was very labor intensive and we generally fell behind on sending out our renewals.
With Membee, we can utilize automated renewal reminders and let the entire framework operate on its own without too much administrator intervention. I am sure that as we move forward, the benefits will only increase as I continue to discover new features of this framework.

We moved from another member management system to Membee, so much of our positive experience has been in comparing how many LESS steps are required to accomplish simple tasks than before. It would be difficult to enumerate the areas in which we have found ourselves saying, “holy cow, that was a two step process, compared to the 5 or 6 we had to deal with at XYZ to do the same thing!” Membee has proven itself to be a much more user friendly and time saving system to use.
My advice would be – “If you need a specific task done, I’d recommend you just ASK!” Our experience with Membee has been great from day one. The support staff and the followup have been very reliable. One big example is that when we initially imported data, we were set up on an anniversary date dues renewal cycle. When our Board asked that we change to a calendar year basis this year, I was concerned about the amount of work that would be required to issue all the pro-rated bills in order to make the shift.

We want our members to be able to have a public space on our website that they can edit and use to connect with fellow members and supporters as well as the community at large. The Membee directories and profiles provide that venue. It is especially valuable that the directory is searchable by areas of expertise as well as location and other parameters. We are currently in the process of re-populating our Membership system in Membee by having our Members renew. In the future, it will be easier for Members to register for events such as our forums and biennial conference by having their organizational information already in the system.
